About the event

We are thrilled to bring the 4th Annual ‘Tacos y Tequila Festival’ to Spokane, a cultural two-day festival set to take place from August 24 to 25, 2024. The festival showcases the rich Hispanic/Latino culture and history through

food, art, beverages, and live entertainment to the Inland Northwest.

This year’s festival EMCEE will be Albina Cabrera from El Sonido Radio and KEXP out of Seattle. The main entertainment will feature a tribute to Selena by 512 Selena Experience, Norteño band Los Faraones del Norte, a spice of salsa by Milonga, Ballet Folklorico, live Mariachi, a Latine drag show, and more.

The Festival’s proceeds will support Nuestras Raíces, a community center serving the Hispanic-Latino community through our four areas of impact: Cultural Celebration, Education, Economic Development, and Health and Human Services.

Tacos and tequila hold deep cultural significance in Mexican heritage, with roots dating back centuries. The festival allows Spokane residents and visitors to learn about this cultural heritage and support local Hispanic-Latino-owned businesses.

“Tacos y Tequila Festival allows us to showcase our history and increase public awareness and pride in the depth and diversity of Hispanic Latino culture in the Inland Northwest,” Fernanda Mazcot, NRCC Executive Director, said.

Attendees will enjoy a fusion of food flavors and drinks while the pupils delight in live music and cultural performances. Tequila and mezcal classes will be part of the experience. Beer gardens will include No-Li, Estrella beer, La Gritona Tequila, Alipus Mezcal, and various other beverages.

The festival draws around 5,000 people daily from in and out of town, highlighting the city's Hispanic/Latino population—the fastest-growing demographic in Spokane County.
