Hispanic Business Professional Association (HBPA)
The Hispanic Business/Professional Association (HBPA) of Spokane is a community-driven organization dedicated to advancing economic development and empowering new entrepreneurs. Spokane is where our roots were planted, and where Our Roots Community Center was born — a reflection of our commitment to growth, unity, and opportunity.
For more than four decades, HBPA has supported Hispanic and minority-owned businesses through education, mentorship, networking, and access to essential resources. We promote leadership, business excellence, and cultural awareness by connecting professionals, students, and community members.
Our mission is to foster an inclusive and thriving local economy where entrepreneurs can start, grow, and succeed. From scholarships that open doors for the next generation to programs and events that strengthen business relationships, HBPA continues to build opportunity and shape Spokane’s economic future—one entrepreneur at a time.
Our History
Nuestras Raíces Centro Comunitario (Our Roots Community Center) is a 501c3 organization that was founded by the Hispanic Business Professional Association (HBPA), an organization formed in 1979. For over decades, Nuestras Raices has been on a mission to promote and serve business growth, professional development, education opportunities, cultural preservation, community wellness and social justice for the Hispanic/ Latine community in the Inland Northwest.
