Dia de los Muertos 'Day of the Dead'

Nuestras Raíces Centro Comunitario(Our Roots Community Center) (NRCC) and the HispanicBusiness/Professional Association (HBPA) are excited to welcome our 9th annual 'Day of the Dead'/ 'Día de los Muertos,' cultural event.

This year will take place for three days, from November 3rd to 5th, in Nuestras Raíces/ Our Roots Community Center in Spokane.

Schedule:

🔸Friday, November 3 (5 pm - 8 pm): Come see the ofrendas (Offerings), created by community members, to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away. You can bring a photo of your loved ones, family member, or pet who have passed, to put it in our ofrenda. 

🔸Saturday, November 4 (2 pm - 7 pm): Main event celebration: 2:00 pm | Doors open 2:30 pm | Introduction & Day of the Dead Ritual 2:45 pm | Opening remarks 3:30 pm | Ballet Folklorico de Spokane 4:45 pm | Mariachi Las Aguilas de Eastern Washington University 5:00 pm | Piñata for kids 5:45 pm | TBD 6:00 pm | Mariachi Las Aguilas de Eastern Washington University 6:30 pm | Day of the Dead Ritual 6:40 pm | Ballet Folklorico de Spokane 7:00 pm | Piñata for kids

🔸Sunday, November 5 (11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.): Come to El Recalentado (Potluck): Bring a dish to share if you can. Come to see the community ofrendas (offerings)  for the last day if you missed it.

This day will be more intimate and quiet, with no activities, just a moment of gathering and enjoying free food!
